Research at AWHONN
The mission of AWHONN’s Research Department is to champion and grow the body of nursing knowledge that transforms care for women, newborns, and families. Guided by the priorities set forth in AWHONN’s annual strategic plan and endorsed by the Board of Directors, we are dedicated to supporting innovative research that makes a measurable difference in clinical practice and health outcomes.
Our vision is to create a vibrant community where nurses at every stage of their careers are empowered to ask bold questions, seek meaningful answers, and contribute to the science of nursing. Through mentorship, scholarship, and collaboration, we aim to cultivate the next generation of nurse researchers, expand opportunities for discovery, and elevate the voice of nursing in shaping the future of health care.
